We were among over 70 exhibitors at SynthFest UK in Sheffield last weekend. We have been there for each of the three years of the event, which is organised by Sound On Sound magazine. It’s great to see the event growing with more things to see and do every year!
The UK’s largest synthesizer-oriented event celebrates all things synth. Top electronic manufacturers exhibit their latest gear with demos from the designers. Household names like Akai, Arturia, Korg, Yamaha, Moog and Roland were all present, showing us some of the most exciting gear due to hit shelves in the coming months.
Not only that, SynthFest also plays host to a variety of seminars from true gurus of electronic music. Guests at the event this year included David Stubbs, Martin Russ and Richard Barbieri, as well as Sheffield’s very own Martin Ware of Heaven 17 and Human League!
As SynthFest grows we’d encourage anyone who has an interest in synthesizers or electronic music to go next year. Failing that, we run our own miniature synthesizer festival every day up in the high-tech room! Come and try out the latest gear, or browse the second hand bargains. Best of all, come and chat to Kev and Joe who are real experts in the field!
